Lovely Daisy Mae’s life has turned upside down over the last few months. Sadly her owner died during the summer, a relative took her in but then was told by her landlord that she couldn’t have pets and Daisy would have to go. Thinking it would be impossible to rehome an older cat (she’s only 8 years old) the relative booked her in to the vets to be put to sleep. Thankfully a friend of ours heard about the situation and we were able to offer a rescue place.
She’s a sweet loving lady who enjoys fusses and cuddles. She doesn’t like other cats ….. at least she hasn’t liked the ones she’s met here so far. We don’t know how she’d get on with dogs but she’d probably be happy with sensible children.
Daisy has been neutered and microchipped and she’s started her vaccinations. She had a very postive health check with the vets ….. all ok apart from her teeth. Today she’s had a scale and polish which has found that her teeth are fine once the tartar has been cleaned away.
She’ll need to be kept indoors for a few weeks whilst she settles in her new home but after that will probably appreciate a safe garden to explore and lounge around in. We always strongly recommend that cats are kept indoors during hours of darkness.
We always homecheck prior to adoption and ask a minimum adoption donation of £70 for a neutered adult cat. There’s more about our adoption process here: http://www.8livescatrescue.org/adoption-process.html and you’ll probably find more photos and stories about her here: https://8livescatrescue.wordpress.com/ and here: https://www.facebook.com/8Lives/
