Relish & Raffles

The gorgeous Relish (named after Henderson’s Relish) had been living under someone’s car for a few weeks prior to coming into rescue.  Neighbours took pity on him, did their utmost to find his family and when none could be found, clubbed together to buy him a stash of food and toys to bring into rescue with him.   Handsome Mr Raffles was also found straying and when his family were contacted they didn’t want him back.

They’re both loving gentle little boys about 5-6 months old and very purry.  Relish was kind and gentle with the 6 year old boy who was part of the main family caring for him.  He’s been friendly though a little shy with the cats he’s met here.  Raffles arrived a few days after Relish and was more shy initially but as he’s started to relax his fun loving purrsonality has started to shine though.  They’ve both  needed a little help and encouragement to start playing again … the weight of the world was probably on their little shoulders whilst living rough.

They’ve been health checked at our vets and all is ok.  They’ve been fleaed and wormed, booked in for a snip and chip, and will start their vaccinations before leaving here.

They’re young enough and sociable enough to fit into most famiies with sensible friendly children cats or dogs.  They’ll need to stay indoors for a good few weeks until they’re settled (and we strongly recommend that cats are kept indoor overnight for the rest of their lives)  but after that they’d enjoy having a safe garden to explore and run off their kitten energy in.

We always homecheck prior to adoption, and ask a minimum donation of £75 for each neutered kitten.  There’s more about our adoption process here: http://www.8livescatrescue.org/adoption-process.html and you’ll find some more photos and stories about them (and our other cats) on our blog: https://8livescatrescue.wordpress.com/ and facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/8Lives/
