Ozzy

Oz is a gorgeous big ginger tom cat who is 2-3 years old. He came into rescue when the person who got him off Gumtree realised she was allergic to cats. Rescue hasn’t been entirely easy for him as we were already full when he arrived, and he hadn’t been neutered (as you can probably see in one of his photos!) So he landed here singing bawdy songs about meeting and forming relationships with lady cats … whilst the resident cats looked on in horror!

Ozzy has now been for his snip and chip ……… and started his vaccinations. Health checks with our vet revealed no issues other than a slight ear infection which he’s having anti biotics for. He’s also up to date with worm and flea treatment.

He’d probably settle fairly happily into most homes so long as he gets plenty of attention. We’ve said “not sure” regarding children simply because we’ve not observed him with children. He’s easy going and keeps his claws in. He may be ok with other cats. He’s on head bump terms with one of our residents …… and hissing terms with another.

He’ll need to stay indoors for at least 4 weeks in his new home, but after that would like a safe garden to explore. Ideally for his own safety, he needs to be kept indoors, with access to a litter tray, at night time for the rest of his life.

All our adoptions bring 4 weeks free insurance through Pet Plan.

We always homecheck prior to adoption, and ask a minimum donation of £75 for each adult neutered cat..
