Mikey came into rescue last weekend. He’d been living rough since November last year but had a few people looking out for him. He was on several waiting lists for a rescue place, but when local kids started kicking him around the people who were caring for him pulled out all the stops, chased up all rescue options and found us. Thankfully we’d just rehomed a cat and are too small to hold a waiting list …. so he dropped lucky.
You wouldn’t know he’d had a rough time if you were to meet him. He’s full of love and just wants cuddles … and chicken.
He’s been health checked by our vet and no issues found. Started vaccinations and is due to be neutered and chipped this coming week.
As he’s fairly confident and easy going we think he would be fine with kids though we don’t have any confirmation of this. Equally, as an unneutered tom cat, he’s not been mixing with the other cats here so we’re not sure how he’d get along with other cats. He’s still young though so may still be able to get used to living with another cat. On the other hand …. he’s gorgeous and fussy … do you need any more? 😉
He’ll obviously need to be kept indoors for a few weeks in his new home, but after that would like to have a safe garden to explore. We strongly recommend that cats are kept indoors overnight (with access to a litter tray) for their own safety.
